ALAMEDA, CA – Clear-Com Communications Systems, which HM Electronics Inc. (HME) agreed to acquire recently, announced that it is now offering 4-wire audio connectivity into the Concert server and the Concert client.
In live events and televised productions, communications among crew members typically take place over closed-circuit 2-wire and/or 4-wire intercom systems, restricting external communication devices from joining the intercom loop. With 4-wire audio connectivity, Clear-Com expands its core IP-based intercom capabilities.
Concert offers the capability to support a high number of concurrent 4-wire channel connections into the server and in the client via commercially-available audio interface boxes.
Through the Concert user interface, users can simultaneously connect with:
- Partyline systems
- Public Announcement systems
- Paging systems
- External audio feed to/from Concert
- 4-wire interface to Clear-Com or third-party matrix systems
- Generic 4-wire interface
