KANSAS CITY, MO — Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band cancelled a performance here Oct. 26 after the sudden death of Lenny Sullivan, 34. Sullivan, Springsteen’s cousin, was assistant tour manager. Springsteen’s next performance was slated for Madison Square Garden on Oct. 29 at the first of two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary concerts. Springsteen and the band are expected to perform. Others slated to perform at the New York concerts on Oct. 29 and 30 include Stevie Wonder, U2, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Aretha Franklin and B.B. King. Eric Clapton, who had also been in the lineup, is currently recuperating from gallstone surgery and, while reportedly doing well, will not be part of the show.
