NASHVILLE – The 52nd Annual CMA Awards, held Nov. 14 at Bridgestone Arena, got an audio assist from Blackhawk Audio president Rick Shimer, who used a DiGiCo SD7 at FOH for the music performances heard via JBL VerTec 4889 and VTX V20 enclosures within the venue. ATK Audiotek principal Pat Baltzell used an SD5 to mix the production audio for the event, which was broadcast live on ABC. (The desks for the event are pictured here.)
