NEW YORK – For Marc Anthony's recently-completed U.S. leg of his Iconos tour, which began in New York City at Madison Square Garden and wrapped up in Chicago at the Allstate Arena, AVS Production Group provided a Yamaha PM5D-EX digital mixing system for monitors.
"We decided to purchase the PM5D-EX because we were happy with the functionality of the PM5D-RH, but were running into some problems on the amount of inputs we had," said AVS's Abe Viera, Jr., whose father founded the Bronx-based soundco 28 years ago. This was the second Marc Anthony tour for the company.

Ten string members were added to Anthony's 16 regular band members for the tour.

"The PM5D-EX System using the Yamaha DSP5D Expander was a quick, affordable, and compact solution that provided more channels for use with the addition of the strings section," Viera said. "The entire band was on IEMs, with the string section using wedges.

Eric "Pyle" Ramey mixes monitors for Marc Anthony, who is now in South America for the second leg of the tour. Iconos, released in 2010, was produced by Anthony and Julio Reyes and includes songs by balladeers including Juan Gabriel, Jose Jose, Roberto Carlos and Jose Luis Perales.
