PORTLAND, OR — Audinate announced that its Brooklyn audio networking module now supports up to 64×64 discrete digital audio channels, double that of the existing module. The enhanced Brooklyn module, designed in the same small form factor as the original Brooklyn, gives OEMs the ability to incorporate a plug-and-play Dante digital audio networking solution plus an AVB Layer 2 ready implementation at a competitive price.

In addition to AVB Layer 2 support, Dante offers a networking solution that uses standard Internet Protocols over 100Mb and/or Gigabit Ethernet. Dante also provides a media transport that is tightly synchronized with sub-millisecond latency.

The new Brooklyn module offers a range of 8×8 channels at the low end all the way up to 64×64 channels at the higher end.

“A growing number of OEMs requested that we extend the capability of the existing Brooklyn module that offers 32×32 channels,” said David Myers, COO, Audinate. “Brooklyn can now scale to twice the number of channels at a price point that is most competitive in the industry.”
