LONDON – British loudspeaker manufacturer Void Acoustics will be supporting the Red Bull Culture Clash in London by collaborating with London grime crew Boy Better Know. Red Bull describes the event as “a live music experience which has taken place in the UK three times before. The show includes four stages, each featuring a different crew representing different genres. These crews battle for the title of Red Bull Culture Clash winner.” The Oct. 30 finale follows similar events held in Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol, U.K. earlier in October.

LONDON – The Red Bull Culture Clash makes a welcome return to London this October. After a break in 2013 the legendary sound system event is back, this time at Earl’s Court. British loudspeaker manufacturer Void Acoustics has been involved since 2010 and will be taking part in this year’s event on 30th October. Reprising their winning collaboration with London grime crew Boy Better Know, the company will be showcasing a new large-format line-array system to the audience of sixteen thousand.
The format of the evening is an old-school sound system battle between four different stages and crews over four timed rounds. Crews will use every trick in the book to get the audience on side, including custom made dub plates and secret special guests. Each stage will have a different sound system, so the individual combination of performance and technology will contribute to the result, determined by audience reaction. Hosts Annie Mac and Doc Brown will determine which act wins the crowd vote, and if it’s too close to call a decibel meter will be used to give the final judgement. In addition to Boy Better Know (UK) performances will come from A$AP Mob (US), Rebel Sound (UK), and Stone Love (JA).
Void will be supplying equipment in collaboration with long-time associates GHB Audio Hire and running the front of house desk will be Void founder and technical director, Rog Mogale. In addition, all the Void team will be there ready to answer any questions you might have about the system and to join in the (friendly) rivalry between the different acts and sound crews! Sound Clash will be the last ever live music event to be held at Earl’s Court and will ensure that the venue goes out in style.
