ALAND, Finland — RCF’s Finnish distributor, Noretron Communication Ltd, provided RCF speaker units for the remodeled two-story center for dining and dancing in one of Viking Line’s seven ships, the M/S Rosella. The system consists of rigged TTL 12AS and four TTL 31A per side and TTS 28A subs in the center ground stack. Four RCF C 3108W delay speakers fill the back parts of the first floor’s low ceiling.
Noretron staffers worked with Viking Line’s own technical crew on the installation, which was accomplished at the cruise ship company’s Estonian dockyard over a two-day period.
Viking Line has been operating since 1959, first between the Finnish mainland, the Aland Islands and Sweden. Today, the company’s ships also travel between Finland and the Baltic states. Operations include passenger services, recreation and cargo carrier services.
