Outline is pleased to announce that the brand will be a key player at this edition of the huge German expo.
“We want to make certain every visitor is aware of our mission, the result of the ‘added value’ of people and products”, – states Business Development Manager Luca Giaroli, who is making his debut with the company precisely at Prolight+Sound.
“Outline was founded 42 years ago, manufacturing special (electro-acoustic) components, which it still does to this day. Frankfurt, one of the world’s most important showcases, is the perfect opportunity for inducing trade members to visit us and realize ‘there’s something interesting here – we better find out more’. Seeing is believing. Stand B36 – Hall 8.0” – concludes Giaroli.
Outline will obviously highlight new products. The visitors will be able to see the brand-new 2×18”, EIDOS 218 S, a super-powerful subwoofer featuring an exceptional size-to-power ratio (148.5 dB SPL peak @ 1m) and extended low-frequency reproduction (down to 28 Hz), ideal for applications requiring high-powered sub-bass delivery (including dance venues). The 218 S incorporates E.R.P. (Energy Retentive Porting), a proprietary design that assists airflow and enhances transducer efficiency, thus providing tremendous punch. Based on the principles of fluid dynamics and successfully applied to the science of controlling pneumatic forces within a loudspeaker enclosure, this unique configuration of specially shaped ports ensures optimum laminar airflow. This maximises efficiency and enables more amplifier power to be converted into acoustic energy.
At the show, the Italian loudspeaker manufacturer will also present what it considers to be the new benchmark for stadium sound.
The STADIA100 LA range combines key principles of line-source theory with well-established proprietary Outline technologies to produce a range of products that provides the perfect “tools” for those involved in audio installations in very large spaces such as stadia, arenas, sports facilities and large houses of worship.
The new loudspeakers have an entirely original design created specifically for the purpose. The range comprises three elements of very similar dimensions, with identical horizontal directivity (100°) but offering a choice of 10°, 20° or 30° dispersion on the vertical plane, enabling them to be combined to provide optimum venue coverage.
Capable of delivering up to 149 dB with 8kW peak input power handling, coupled with pinpoint accuracy of directional control over long distances, the STADIA100 LA delivers the power and precision to provide perfectly intelligible full-range audio throughout the largest locations.
Construction and finishing techniques developed specifically for long-term outdoor applications have also been used in the STADIA100 LA, notably Outline’s own ‘outSIDE’, an extraordinarily rugged waterproof elastoplastic coating which interacts with the cabinet material to provide unmatched durability regardless of location or conditions.
