HONG KONG – Sa DingDing, who sings Tibetan, Sanskrit, and Mandarin, mixing traditional Chinese melodies and Buddhist prayers with electronic instruments, performed two concerts at the Hong Kong Star Hall for the 38th Hong Kong Arts Festival. Shalom AV Technology Limited provided a Meyer Sound MILO line array loudspeaker system for the event.
"MILO was used because it not only provides the power we needed for the size of venue but also gives us the dynamics," said Roland Chan, concert engineer of Shalom AV Technology Ltd.

To cover 3,600 spectators in the four-level, 30,000-square-foot Star Hall, Shalom AV Technology used a Meyer Sound system with 16 MILO and four MILO 120 line array loudspeakers and, for the low end, four 700-HP and four 650-P subwoofers, with four UPA-1P loudspeakers providing frontfill.

Shalom also used a Galileo loudspeaker management system for signal processing and an RMS remote monitoring system, plus  MAPP Online Pro for system design.

"System setup is simplified with the help of MAPP," said Chan, crediting the accuracy of the sound level and coverage and the time savings in optimizing performances.  "Meyer Sound products make our life as concert sound engineers much easier," Chan added.

Miso Technology Company Limited provided musical instruments and an Avid Venue mixing console for the concerts.
