LOHNE, Germany — Werretalhalle, a venue here that seats 250 and has a capacity for 450 without seating in place, recently installed Adamson gear including Point 15s (L-R) and Point 12 speakers (center-fill), along with Point 8s (near-fill) and Point 215s for low-end support. The gear was first used for a show featuring a Dire Straits tribute band, “Dire Strats” (setup pictured here).
More details from Adamson Systems (www.adamsonsystems.com):
City of Loehne in Germany selected Adamson Point Series for its performance & community center Werretalhalle, which seats 250 people and 450 standing without seating in place. The hall hosts corporate events, tradeshows, lectures, live-sound performances, and canned dance parties.
The system design for the hall features two vertically mounted Point 15’s as the main left and right PA, a horizontally placed Point 12 as a center-fill speaker, as well as two Point 8’s wall-mounted below the main speakers for near-fills. For the low-end extension of 2 Point 215 (manifold double 15”) subs were installed underneath the raised stage. The facility director Mr. Dirk Hinke explained the process of choosing a system: “We had been looking for an economic and visually discreet PA-System to cover a upwards of a 100 annual events of various styles, and many of them of fairly high caliber. After a lengthy search and several system demos we found ourselves in front of the Adamson Point Series. The demo was still going on when the collective of our house and freelance technicians, including myself, decided that our ears and minds were set; the Point series was to be the system for Werretalhalle.”
The difference they heard after so many product demos was simply that the compact installation line of loudspeakers employs the same no-compromise large diaphragm compression drivers found throughout Adamson’s touring product range. All 12-inch and 15-inch models incorporate Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture on their proprietary Neo-Kevlar LF transducers. The 8-inch LF transducer is also a proprietary Neo-Kevlar design for smooth integration. The Point 15 and Point 12 are available with 40˚x20˚ and 60˚x40˚rotatable waveguides for maximum flexibility, and the smaller Point 8 loudspeaker is available with a 90˚x60˚ rotatable waveguide with its height matching the width of other Point Series products allowing for smooth integration into point-source.
