Brazilian rock band, Raimundos, recently recorded its first acoustic DVD using Allen & Heath’s dLive digital mixing system, supplied by Sao Paulo PA company, WR Sonorização.

Formed in Brasilia in 1987, Raimundos is Brazil’s leading punk/hardcore band. A departure from previous live recordings, the band decided to record a live acoustic set to be released as a DVD. The band was supplemented with various additional musicians, including a pianist and strings section.

The dLive system comprised a S7000 with DM64 MixRack, managing a total of 16 stereo mixes.

“dLive is the most intuitive digital console I have ever used, and has superior sound quality to any competitive products i have mixed on,” explains the band’s monitor engineer, Edinho Rock.

Pantcho, owner of WR Sonorização, adds, “Put simply, dLive is both fantastic and powerful. It is easy to navigate and all the key mixing functions are readily available as the control surface is clear and intuitive.”
