Ajda Pekkan, the Superstar, has recorded 20 albums during her career; in her 60’s she is still a pop icon. On February 2nd, she gave a charity concert to raise money for a children’s welfare foundation – the charity ball had all of Istanbul’s A-list who mingled in a remarkable setting – the vintage car room of the Rahmi M. Koç Museum in Istanbul. Some of the most notable features of the museum include a submarine and Ataturk’s personal collection. The concert attracted over 700 people, seated at dinner tables around the room. The Diva performed on stage, which no doubt was equipped with the best sound system for live shows. The rental company Park Technical Production, went for a sure-thing. The stage was set up with K-array’s ultra – compact powerful speakers. The stage was managed by Abbas Akkaya and Yilmaz Yeniyol was the FOH sound engineer. Oktay Karasoglu, the President of Lotus Teknoloji, K-array’s branded distributor in Turkey, told us that three KR200S were used. The system was comprised of two modules in a compact vertical line array.
