UK — The third DiGiCo Quiz night netted £5,500 (about $8,484) for the Behind the Scenes charity benefiting backstage workers in the U.K. Pictured here, from left, are James Gordon, DiGiCo MD; and Lee Dennison, Behind the Scenes trustee with White Light.

The third DiGiCo Quiz night or ‘The Paul Keating Stag Do!’ brought together some of the top audio companies from the UK in a battle of  knowledge, wits, devious under-hand dealings and a bar bill bigger than a you know what! In the past, DiGiCo has supported some amazing causes and some, now sadly, departed individuals, as each year the audio industry comes together as one for what is always a memorable night.

This year DiGiCo chose to support the UK events charity ‘Behind the Scenes’. James Gordon, Managing Director of DiGiCo, comments: “We have been supporters of Behind the Scenes UK since its inception two years ago, through other various charity events such as golfing days and the recent karting day. It was a natural choice for us to nominate BTS as our chosen charity as we all know individuals personally and professionally that have at one time in the past needed the industry’s support. Now we have a charity, supported by the industry, for our industry and administered by our industry, we all need to get behind it.

On the night, a raffle was run with some great prizes donated by all of the participants, and with a star turn auction hosted by a rather orange David ‘Dennison’ Dickinson, with a top prize of dinner with Mark Bonner going for £900 the final total raise was a fantastic £5,500.00.

With Delta Sound running away as quiz winners on the night, it was an amazing evening as always hosted by the Ant & Dec of the audio world, James Gordon and David ‘Webby’ Webster. With the quiz done, the celebrations continued into the early hours, with everyone coming together to discuss the finer points of Jägerbomb.

Behind the Scenes UK would like to say a huge thank you from all at DiGiCo and the audio companies who supported the charity on the night.
