LONDON — d&b audiotechnik features its “teeny weeny” E4 and E5 loudspeakers at ABTT 2012, held in London’s Old Truman Brewery, along with similarly-sized speakers in its installation-ready White range. The company also presented its mid-sized V-Series, and d&b’s Oran Burns presented an educational session, “Can You Hear Me at the Back?”

The E4 and E5, launched in February, are miniature, lightweight 2-way passive coaxial loudspeakers that offer a wide 100° symmetrical dispersion pattern in the horizontal and vertical plane, while the cabinet may be mounted in either attitude. Weather protected as standard, the E4 and E5, like the broader E-Series, are also available with a Special Color (SC) option.

The V-Series’ V8 and V12 loudspeakers project 80 and 120° horizontal dispersion respectively from their 3-way passive design. The V-SUB incorporates d&b’s passive cardioid technology.

“We always feel at home coming to ABTT,” remarked Phill Coe, market manager for d&b GB. “The new venue gave an added sense of drama. The seminar presentation by Oran was well attended, as was the stand; Black and White attracted equal interest and it was good to note visitors engaging with the subtle differences between the two.”
