Celebrating cultural diversities from around the world in an effort to support people with HIV and AIDS, is an extravagant event that attracts tens of thousands of international visitors. This year’s event utilized 100 channels of Harman’s AKG WMS4500, DMS700 and IVM4500 wireless microphone and monitoring systems for onstage vocal performances and announcements.

The highlight of the 2014 Life Ball featured celebrity speakers such as Bill Clinton, Christina Perri, Ricky Martin and more. To project the voices from these esteemed spokesmen and spokeswomen, the technical crew relied on AKG’s microphones for the highest caliber of sound.

“Ever since 2007, we have been the proud partner and sponsor of the annual Life Ball in Vienna,” said Walter Rührig, AKG Artist & Key Customers Relations. “Finding the right equipment for nine different stages with differing acoustics was challenging, but thanks to the flexibility of AKG microphones, the input and pickup patterns were very accommodating to the various presenters and performers.”

The AKG WMS4500 is an analog wireless microphone system with a maximum channel count of 70, a perfect choice for such a massive event due its reliability and proven audio quality. AKG’s dedication to quality is also evidenced with premium digital audio from the DMS700 wireless microphone system and IVM4500 in-ear monitoring system, both of which are easy to operate and favored worldwide.
