Allen & Heath’s GLD-112 Installed In Unique Chinese Theatre Venue

XI’AN, SHAANXI PROVINCE, CHINA – Allen & Heath’s GLD-112 digital mixer has been installed in the new Wanhe Grand Theatre.  Situated in the Wanhe Shopping Mall, the venue can accommodate 500 people for a host of events from concerts and art performances to corporate presentations and lectures. The system selected is comprised of Allen & Heath’s GLD-112 digital mixer is installed along with two AR0804 IO Audio Racks.

The design brief was to provide audiences with an immersive experience based on advanced AV technology with multi-media digital FX, and an aesthetically discreet audio system with a small footprint and great sound quality.

Wanhe Shopping MallThe system selected comprised Allen & Heath’s GLD-112 digital mixer, which is installed in the audio control room along with two AR0804 IO Audio Racks, and an AR2412 IO Rack is installed in the equipment room to receive any additional sources from the stage. The mixer and racks are connected via CAT 5 cable to minimize wiring.

The GLD system is accompanied by EAW KF line array, Powersoft M series amplifiers and High End Systems SHAPESHIFTER.

Since it opened, the Wanhe Grand Theatre has hosted a variety of events including the Shanxi Qingqu Community conference and a production of Cinderella.
