LAS VEGAS – The 51st edition of the American Music Awards ceremony was broadcast and streamed live on ABC and Paramount+ from the BleuLive Theater at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on May 26. A variety of Shure technologies played key roles, including Shure’s Axient Digital Wireless System and the custom ADX2FD and AD2s with KSM8 capsule used by host and performer Jennifer Lopez.
More details from Shure (www.shure.com):
Hosted by Jennifer Lopez and full of iconic performances, the AMAs relied on Shure’s Axient® Digital Wireless System to deliver exceptional sound making the stars shine brighter than ever.
The crew for the event included Broadcast A1 Michael Abbott, Broadcast Music Mixer Randy Faustino, FOH Engineer Andrew Fletcher, Monitor Mixer Andres Arango and Soundtronics’ Steven Vaughn who handled RF coordination duties.
“There’s zero room for error,” Vaughn said. “We relied on Shure Axient Digital Wireless System and it made our job a lot easier,” he added. “The RF environment was packed, but we didn’t have any single dropout or issue. It is a system that gives you the confidence you need because it simply works. When you are mixing live for an audience with millions and with the best artists in the world, having a gear you can trust is completely everything.”
