VERONA, Italy — Arena di Verona, a 2,000-year old Roman amphitheater, was the setting for Intimissimi on Ice, performed on a vast iced stage that covered nearly half the arena floor. To accommodate the necessary sight lines, soundco Musical Box Rent deployed a d&b Audiotechnik J-Series line array rig located 207 feet apart and 98 feet behind the edge of the stage.

Capital Sound Adds d&b J-Series to Touring Inventory

LONDON — Capital Sound recently added a d&b audiotechnik J-Series system, D80 amplification and B-Series subs to its inventory. Capital Sound also recently expanded with Outline’s GTO line array components. The d&b investment adds a fourth brand to Capital’s offering and provides an extra dimension to its concert touring packages. VENICE, CALIFORNIA – This past November The Rose Cafe reopened in Venice, California after a renovation. The neighbourhood classic turned to Fyxx Entertainment to specify and install a multi-zone system powered by Powersoft M Series amplifiers. They selected a package featuring two Powersoft M28Q amplifiers with 13 Eastern Acoustic Works SMS 2124 loudspeakers and five Martin SD 120 EP subwoofers.

Indiana Supreme Court Rules in Favor of State Fair Commission, Against Mid-America Sound on Liability Issue

INDIANAPOLIS — In a unanimous decision, Indiana’s Supreme Court ruled in favor of the State Fair Commission and against Mid-America Sound on whether contractual indemnity provisions could shield Mid-America from liability for the Aug. 13, 2011 collapse of the temporary concert staging structure used for the Indianapolis State Fair. The collapse in high winds killed seven and injured 58.

Wolfsburg Theatre in Germany Undergoes Comprehensive Sound System Upgrade

WOLFSBURG, Germany – For the Hans Scharoun-designed Wolfsburg Theatre, open since 1973, Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup’s systems integration division installed a new audio, video and media system as well as a hazard detection/voice alarm system. The venue’s comprehensive upgrade includes new line array speaker components, console and wired/wireless microphones. A major portion of the upgrade project took place from Nov. 2014 to Nov. 2015. On Jan. 24, 2016, a ceremonial re-opening featured the Brunswick State Orchestra.
