MANCHESTER, UK – Adlib supplied an L-Acoustics PA for US pop-punk band All Time Low, for their recent Back to The Future Hearts UK Tour, plus a support package for Special Guests Maryland rock band Good Charlotte, back after a long hiatus.  The PA system technician for Adlib was Alan Harrison, working alongside Adlib’s Hassane Es Siahi, with Jay Petch looking after monitor world.

The Church At Brook Hills Upgrades to SSL L300

ALABAMA, USA – The Church At Brook Hills has recently invested in an audio upgrade through the full-service production and integration company Morris Light and Sound, installing two Solid State Logic L300 digital live consoles at front of house and monitors. Landon Robertson, Production Manager and FOH Engineer for the 2000 seat Worship Room uses volunteers to run monitors and finds the SSL’s “ease-of-use” crucial.

In Memoriam: Russell Gray, 61

ATLANTA, GA – Russell Gray, who was noted for mixing FOH for Eddie Rabbit, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the evening of February 23, 2016. He was 61. Gray was born in Richmond, CA in 1955 and during his 40-plus year career, worked closely with countless artists including Fleetwood Mac, Metallica and Bowie during the 1980’s and 90’s. After Rabbit’s passing in 1998, Gray went on to lead a less road-heavy life as an audio engineer, working mostly in and around the Atlanta area with Atlanta Sound and Lighting, Entertainment Design Group and Seriously Sound Inc.

The Coffman Memorial Union at the University of Minnesota Gets a Digital Upgrade With DiGiCo’s S21

MINNEAPOLIS – DiGiCo’s S21 console promised to add to the number of venues that could now afford to “go DiGiCo.” The Coffman Memorial Union at the University of Minnesota (UMN) in Minneapolis is one such venue. The Union hosts everything from concerts to keynotes to movie nights, and recently replaced an analog system in its multipurpose, 1,000-capacity Great Hall with a DiGiCo S21 desk supplied by Eden Prairie-based Audio Logic Systems.
