Finnish Band AncarA Performs with QSC Gear at High Altitude in Nepal

DINGBOCHE, Nepal – Finnish heavy metal band AncarA and hip hop artist Signmark set out last fall to perform the world’s highest rock concert in the foothills of Mt. Everest. The band spent 18 days getting acclimatized for the event, trekking in and carrying their gear from the nearest airport to Dingboche, Nepal, a 14,468-foot-high stopover for those tackling Mount Everest and nearby peaks. While high enough to make full-throated vocals a challenge, Signmark didn’t have to worry – he raps in sign-language. But the intrepid performers did need a rugged sound system for a highly difficult load-in. The setup included a 16-channel QSC TouchMix compact digital mixer and a pair of K Series loudspeakers.
