Outline Gear to be Featured at Lighting/Music/Video Expo in Italy

RIMINI, Italy — The Music Inside Rimini (MIR) exhibition, to take place at the Rimini Fiera exhibition hall May 7-9, will feature Outline audio gear in two places. The first will be the 100 square meter stand dedicated to the audio brand (Hall A5C5 017). The second will be the Music Inside Festival, where three GTO (Grand Touring Outline) systems will be used by 30 top DJs to pump out a total 36 hours of music. Angelo Catoni’s rental company, Emporio On Stage, and Federico Rotondo’s company, Sound Tech, are supplying the gear.

British Music Embassy, Other SXSW Venues Use Allen & Heath Mixing Systems

AUSTIN, Texas — Celebrating 30 years in 2016, the South by Southwest Music and Media Conference (SXSW) is a six-day event held every March. Allen & Heath’s digital mixers from across its dLive, GLD and Qu ranges were employed this year in many of the particpating venues. Audio Crew for Passion 2016 Makes Use of Waves Tools and Technology

ATLANTA and HOUSTON — The Passion 2016 Christian youth conference took place Jan. 2-4 in three arenas — two in Atlanta, GA (Infinite Energy Arena and Philips Arena) and one in Houston, TX (Toyota Center). The events were simulcast via fiber with satellite redundancy. Black & White Live managed the production. Stephen Bailey served as FOH engineer, Rat Sound provided all audio systems and design, and Matt Manix from Method Production Group handled system design. Waves plugins also played a role, including Waves Dugan Automixer on all three of the host mics.

Shure Marks 91 Years in Audio Electronics

NILES, IL — Shure noted a number of new products along with previously announced changes in leadership as the company marks 91 years in business. The company will be led by company president Christine (Chris) Schyvinck, who is succeeding retiring president and CEO Sandy LaMantia this year. LaMantia and the company’s late chairman, Mrs. Rose L. Shure, named Schyvinck to the position last November. Mrs. Shure, the widow of founder Sidney N. Shure, died Jan. 25.

Stage Sound Installs First NEXO ID Series System in North America

KNOXVILLE, TN — Stage Sound (Roanoke, VA) recently installed the first NEXO ID24 System in North America at The Mill & Mine in Knoxville, TN. A multi-purpose event space and concert venue, the venue can accommodate 1,200. It was recently used as one of the main sites for Knoxville’s Big Ears Music Festival, and it also hosted an acoustic concert by Pat Benatar. Richard Stockton Joins Radio Active Designs

LINCOLN, NE — Radio Active Designs (RAD) named Richard Stockton sales engineer for the growing organization. As sales engineer for RAD, Stockton will be responsible for providing demonstrations and technical support for the UV-1G wireless intercom system, RAD’s flagship product.
