ROME – Proel’s Axiom loudspeaker products were chosen for the television production of the David di Donatello awards ceremony, a film award presented each year for cinematic performances and production by L’accademia del Cinema Italiano (The Academy of Italian Cinema) and broadcast by Sky TV.

BEIJING – Popular Chinese pop singer, music producer and professional guitarist and “New Asian King” Li Ronghao recently kicked off his “Ideal World Tour” with a concert at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.  Supporting the tour is an Adamson E-Series PA, provided by Beijing Global Visual Culture Development Co. Ltd.

Yunnan Province, CHINA – Producer Franco Dragone’s newest themed spectacle at the Dai Show Theatre features aquatic acrobatics, bolstered by immersive music and effects. One visual concept central to the show was that the dome over the central pool would be part of the visual effects, which in turn meant that the loudspeakers had to be largely hidden. This presented challenges – which were met by Meyer Sound – for covering a large-volume, 1,183-seat venue.

MODENA, Italy – The residence of the late, world renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti is now a home museum. Sound quality was of utmost importance in the tenor’s life, and it remains so in this cultural attraction. RCF’s Ayra studio monitors and EVOX two-way arrays were installed in the home museum under the guidance of Willy Gubellini, a sound professional who has worked on all editions of the charity project Pavarotti & Friends.

BRIGHTON, UK – Monitor engineer Arron James Smith is carrying his console of choice, the DiGiCo S21, on Bat For Lashes’ summer tour of UK cathedrals and European summer festivals. “Peppe Mallozzi at Autograph Sales UK kindly provided me with an S21 console to demo and also the hire for the short UK tour,” he says. “The usability of the console is outstanding.”

LONDON – Capital Sound provided the sound reinforcement for this summer’s Hyde Park Festival. Their Martin Audio MLA package populated the main Great Oak Stage, the second Barclaycard Stage and Sony PlayStation stage—with six areas in all featuring Martin Audio solutions. The new beta version of Martin Audio’s Display prediction software gave the biggest boost to the main stage sound.
