SOLON, OH – CAD Audio named American Music & Sound as its global distribution partner. Luther Burbank Center for the Arts Reports Damage from Fires, Main Building Spared

SANTA ROSA, CA – The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, formerly known as the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, noted that although several performances were cancelled this month due to wildfires in the area and the arts complex sustained significant fire damage, the main building was spared and the venue’s management hopes for performances to be resuming again soon.

Transom Capital Acquires LOUD Technologies; Newly Formed LOUD Audio LLC Takes Over Mackie, Ampeg, EAW and Martin Audio Brands

WOODINVILLE, WA – Transom Capital Group acquired all brands from LOUD Technologies, Inc. The new company, to be known as LOUD Audio, LLC, will be run by the executives of LOUD Technologies and will continue to market and sell products under LOUD’s established portfolio of brands, including Mackie, Ampeg, EAW and Martin Audio. The move was not expected to disrupt current distribution for these brands but was instead cited as a way to bring new capital to enable growth across all brands.

Former AKG Employees Start New Company, Austrian Audio

VIENNA, Austria – AKG, which was founded in Vienna in 1947 and became part of Harman in 1994, continues under the umbrella of Harman, which was acquired by Samsung earlier this year. But as Harman continues to pare back on its traditional operations, with a restructuring plan announced last month that will trim 650 jobs in the U.S. in Europe by mid-2018, a group of AKG employees opted to leave the conglomerate and start up a new Vienna-based audio company called Austrian Audio.
