JOPPA, MD – When the leadership team at Mountain Christian Church (MCC) found a prime location in nearby Abingdon to establish its fourth area campus, there was one thing that wasn’t quite so ideal – the facility’s 13-foot ceilings limited sound reinforcement options for the planned 600-seat worship space. To address that acoustic challenge, AVL systems provider Mankin Media Systems of Franklin, TN, recommended L-Acoustics’ new Syva colinear loudspeaker system. The project marked the first permanent Syva install in North America, and the first Syva system to be installed in a house of worship.

BOULDER, CO –  Built nearly 40 years ago, the Coors Event Center (CEC) at the University of Colorado Boulder has been through major upgrades in the last eight years, including a new playing surface, expanded practice facilities, a new video production room, and large video boards and ribbon displays. Yet, even though the venue opened at the beginning of November 1979, the original PA system had never been replaced – until recently. Englewood, CO-based AV solutions provider AVI Systems worked with school officials on a Bose Professional RoomMatch DeltaQ speaker system for the 23,000-square-foot facility, which can seat over 11,500 fans.

LAS VEGAS – RCF will be demonstrating its new HDL30-A line array with a product demos set for Nov. 18-19 at the LDI show, coming to the Las Vegas Convention Center later this month. The outdoor demos will be part of the LDI Live Outside program just outside the LVCC. The HDL30-A is the latest addition to the RCF HDL line array family. It is designed to serve as a compact bi-amped two-way active tour-grade system for medium to large events, both indoors and outdoors.
