DALLAS – Highlander Partners L.P. acquired Biamp Systems from Lomar Corporation. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Beaverton, OR, with additional engineering operations in Australia and New York, Biamp offers commercial audio systems for business, education and government facilities. Lomar will continue as a minority partner in the transaction.

NEW YORK – L-Acoustics has added Sandy Macdonald, pictured here, to its East Coast team and opened a new office in New York City. The new office space, inaugurated in October, offers the capacity for training as well as meetings and will be home to the growing L-Acoustics East Coast support team. The appointment of Sandy Macdonald as L-Acoustics sales manager, Musical and Theater, reinforces the L-Acoustics East Coast team, which includes Scott Pizzo, regional sales manager and Jesse Stevens, applications engineer.

PORT PERRY, Ontario – Adamson Systems Engineering named audio industry veteran Marc Bertrand managing director for Adamson Americas. In his new role, Bertrand will lead sales growth and network expansion in both the touring and installation markets in North and South America. Bertrand also announced the addition of Steve Allen and Chris Weatherford to the Adamson Americas team.
