SACRAMENTO, CA – For Katy Perry’s Witness world tour, FOH engineer Toby Francis is using a Yamaha Rivage PM10 digital audio console provided by Clair Global. Francis credited the desk for ease of use, sound quality and versatility. “One stage rack can have 96 pre-amps and you still can make up to 16 returns via the card slots which is perfect for front of house,” Francis noted.

Chuck Surack, Founder and President of Sweetwater, Honored with Don Johnson Industry Service Award

ANAHEIM, CA – Chuck Surack, Sweetwater founder and president, received the Don Johnson Industry Service Award in recognition of his support for, and advocacy of, music education. The award was presented to Surack at the national convention of NAMM Jan. 27 during NAMM’s annual “Support Music Session.” The Don Johnson Industry Service Award was established 10 years ago by Musical Merchandise Review magazine, an affiliate of FRONT of HOUSE. The magazine’s January issue features a cover story about the award, with an extended interview with Surack. Pictured here, Terry Lowe, publisher of both magazines, presents the award to Surack.
