Milwaukee’s Summerfest Returns with Clearwing-Supplied DiGiCo Consoles

MILWAUKEE, WI – Clearwing and distributor Group One provided DiGiCo SD-Range and S-Series consoles for FOH and monitor positions on a dozen stages hosting over 1,000 performances from more than 800 artists at the 2018 Summerfest music festival, which ran from June 27-July 8, 2018. A total 766,192 ticketholders attended the event, with headliners including Halsey, James Taylor, Florida Georgia Line, Dave Matthews Band, Jason Isbell, Journey, Arcade Fire and others.

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Upgrades with D.A.S. Audio Event Series System

HOLLYWOOD, FL – Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort purchased D.A.S. Audio Event Series line array elements and sub bass enclosures for a recent upgrade to the resort’s Hollywood Beach Bandshell live event venue. Guitar Center Professional of South Florida provided six D.A.S. Audio Event 208A 3-way, active line array elements and two D.A.S. Event 218A powered sub bass enclosures for the bandshell upgrade.

The Killers Tour with Outline Newton Processor

HELSINKI, Finland – FOH engineer Kenny Kaiser specified an Outline Newton processor for American rock band The Killers’ current world tour. London-based Capital Sound Hire are providing a complete FOH control and mixing package for Kaiser, who noted how he is using the Newton setup as the overall system management hub for all of the tour’s system EQ and control. Luna Beach Cinema’s Outdoor Movies and Sports Backed by Nexo/Yamaha Sound Setup

BRIGHTON, U.K. – For six weeks this summer, The Luna Cinema brought FIFA soccer and Wimbledon tennis matches along with movies to a 4,000-capacity open-air theater at Brighton Beach in the U.K., just yards from the sea. ProLights’ giant OmegaPIX LED video screen was paired with a Nexo system from Orbital Sound that included 12 GEO M10 line array modules, 8 MSUB15 subs and three Nexo NXAMP4x2 amps driven by 8-way Yamaha R Series I/O racks and a Yamaha QL1 digital mixer.

VUE hm-112 systems served monitor duty, while VUEDrive V4 Systems Engines provided power and processing for the arrays and monitors. Allen & Heath iLive consoles handled both FOH and monitor mixes.

Spyder Surf Fest Makes Waves with VUE al-4 System

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – Bell Event Services supplied a VUE al-4 subcompact line array system for Spyder Surf Fest. The annual event brings together action sports brands, surf enthusiasts and the SoCal seaside community. The 2018 event marked the fifth year Bell Event Services supported the event, and the third year they provided a VUE al-4 system. For the main hangs, Bell Events flew dual al-4 arrays, each comprised of two al-4SB flying subwoofers with eight AL-4 subcompact elements hanging underneath. Allen & Heath iLive consoles handled both FOH and monitor mixes.
