PK Sound Collaborates with The Do LaB at Lightning in a Bottle 2018

BRADLEY, CA – PK Sound supplied gear and crew to support The Do LaB’s Lightning in a Bottle festival over Memorial Day Weekend. The event, which featured Sofi Tukker, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals and the Glitch Mob, among others, was heard via PK Trinity line arrays and delays for the main stage acts. FOH techs Rory Stewart and Ian Hicks helped look after the needs of the performers and 10 guest FOH technicians.

Club XL Relies on RCF to Meet Needs of Touring and EDM Artists

HARRISBURG, PA – Club XL celebrated their grand opening recently with a lineup that included Puddle of Mudd, Saving Abel, Tantric and more. The newest and largest venue in south central Pennsylvania, the club features a mix of live bands along with DJ’s and EDM. The club’s new sound system, installed by Hershey Solutions, includes 10 RCF HDL20-A line array cabinets and four SUB9006-AS dual 18″ subwoofers under the stage.

Group One Ltd. Names Kyle McMahon Training and Support Associate

FARMINGDALE, NY – Group One Limited, the Long Island-based U.S. distributor for several pro audio and lighting manufacturers, has named Kyle McMahon as its new training and support associate for DiGiCo, as well as the KLANG:technologies, XTA and MC2 brands. McMahon comes to the distributor directly from the touring sound reinforcement world, where he spent the past dozen years serving as monitor engineer and, eventually, FOH engineer for Christian artist Chris Tomlin.

AES Announces Executive Director Transition

NEW YORK – AES will start looking for a new executive director following the resignation of Bob Moses, AES’s most recent director, effective July 1. AES financial planning officer Bill Foster is stepping in as interim executive director, and Moses will still be working on a project basis through summer’s end as AES seeks his replacement. AES president David Scheirman lauded Moses’ contributions during his 6.5 years as executive director.
