Theatrical Sound Design for ‘Fame’ in Montreal Includes Yamaha Rivage PM7 Console at FOH

MONTREAL – The Saint Denis Theatre recently used a Yamaha Rivage PM7 Digital Audio Console supplied by Solotech for its production of Fame, a Broadway-inspired musical. FOH engineer Maxime Lambert (pictured left) used the console, working along with the show’s sound designer, Colin Gagne (at right). They are joined here by wireless tech Serge Rodrigue (center).

Indispensable Technology Award Nominations Now Open!

LAS VEGAS – For the ninth time, FRONT of HOUSE and PLSN readers will have the opportunity to nominate lighting, staging, video and audio technologies worthy of an Indispensable Technology “IT” Award. The awards competition recognizes technologies that have advanced the state of the art in each of those categories within the previous year. The recognition process starts with nominations from readers of each magazine. Top nominated products make it onto the Parnelli Awards ballot for a final vote.

Renovated Indiana Amphitheater Features VUE al-Class Line Array System

FISHERS, IN – The Nickel Plate District Amphitheater reopened in July with a new VUE Audiotechnik sound system. Local event booker and production manager Bob McCutcheon oversaw the audio overhaul with support from Sound Image and Mid-America Sound for the venue, located northeast of Indianapolis. The system includes two hangs of eight al-12 elements per side, with eight al-4 elements for front fill and four hs-221s subwoofers, all driven by VUE’s v3 and v4 VUEDrive systems engines.
