Dublin-Based DCC Buys Jam Industries in Deal Valued at $170 Million

DUBLIN, Ireland — In late September, DCC Plc acquired Jam Industries, North America’s largest value-added distributor of musical instruments, pro audio and consumer electronics products, for a reported $170 million. The deal follows the Irish conglomerate’s acquisition of Amherst, NY-based pro AV distributor Stampede in July, further expanding DCC’s North American operations. Dublin-based DCC employs 11,000 people in four divisions operating in 17 countries, with total sales of $18.6 billion. Jam Industries was acquired by DCC Plc’s Technology division.
