Weimar Deutsches Nationaltheater Goes Digital with Studer Vista 8, TiMax2 SoundHub

WEIMAR, Germany — The Deutsches Nationaltheater here has complemented its purchase of a new Studer Vista 8 console with a TiMax2 SoundHub-R32 system matrix and playback server, replacing an old analog Studer and legacy TiMax Classic matrix which had been in daily use for the past 10 years.  The new TiMax SoundHub system was purchased from distributor Pro Audio Technik following on-site demos by the company’s TiMax technical sales specialist Matthias Ziegenberger.

Judy Bayley Theater at UNLV Installs All-Yamaha ES System

LAS VEGAS — UNLV’s 550-seat Judy Bayley Theater was recently refurbished with a new audio system that includes a Yamaha M7CL-48ES digital audio console, IS series speakers, DME24 (Digital Mixing Engine) and XP amplifiers. UNLV faculty adjunct Mary McFadden played a key role in the selection of gear. PRG handled the design and installation for the project.

FLORENCE, Italy — Omikron Sound e Light, based here, installed a K-array audio system for the recently refurbished Rivalta Café, a gathering spot offering food, drink and music along the banks of the River Arno. The new system includes 12 Kobra KK50vb speakers, four KL12 subwoofers, two KT20 speakers and four KA7-7 amplifiers.

Bethel Baptist Vision Center Outfitted with Tannoy QFlex, Roland M-300 V-Mixer

NORTH WILKESBORO, NC — The Bethel Baptist Church, based here, recently added a new Vision Center that houses additional Sunday school rooms, office space, a large kitchen and multi-purpose fellowship area and stage. Tony Parker, co-owner of Parkers Productions, designed and installed a new system for the Vision Center using Tannoy QFlex gear. Parker also specified Roland’s M-300 digital V-Mixer in conjunction with their 4000-S Digital Snake.

CLOUD, FL — Veteran Disney sound engineer, Jay Bemiller, is in a “happy place” once again now that the city of St. Cloud, Florida has purchased an Allen & Heath digital console and mix rack.  Bemiller went from mixing major productions on large, pricey analog boards for two decades to mixing 12 microphones on one channel.
