Crew Member Dies after Fall in San Antonio’s AT&T Center

SAN ANTONIO — Thomas Dean Williams, 44, died April 5 after falling between 70 and 100 feet, according to local news reports. Williams was working on the venue’s concert lighting rig at the time and fell to the stage, where others were working. No other injuries were reported. The accident happened about 2 am Friday after a Romeo Santos concert took place at the venue Thursday night.

Mark Gander Named Director of JBL Technology

NORTHRIDGE, CA – Harman Professional has appointed Mark Gander to the position of director of JBL technology. In this newly created role, Gander will be responsible for driving the growth of the Harman intellectual property portfolio and supporting Harman’s technology leadership in the professional loudspeaker market. Gander joined JBL in 1976 as a transducer engineer and has subsequently held key product engineering and marketing positions within JBL Professional and the Loudspeaker Strategic Business Unit. He has held various executive and engineering positions of increasing seniority and responsibility over the course of his distinguished career, and is responsible for the design and development of some of JBL’s most significant loudspeaker technologies and products.
