New Roads School Selects Shure Wireless for Flawless Theatrical Audio Performance

NILES, IL — New Roads School opened its 344 seat, state-of-the-art, Ann and Jerry Moss Theater in February 2013, but before they could raise their curtain to the public, the facility needed a wireless microphone system. Working with Pro Sound & Video Los Angeles, New Roads School chose to install the Shure ULX-D Digital Wireless System and four ULXD4Q Quad Channel Digital systems into their new facility.

Sennheiser Report Shows 10 Percent Sales Gains

WEDEMARK, Germany — Sennheiser released its balance sheet for its 2012 business year on June 25, 2013. The company reported overall sales gains of 10 per cent compared to the previous year, from 531.4 million euros to 584.4 million euros. The company also reported a 10 percent gain in its professional products division, to 205.1 million euros, noting success with the company’s XS wireless microphone system and other products in the Americas.

Palm Expo 2013 Draws 50,000 to Beijing; Music Group Features Behringer

BEIJING, China — The 2013 Palm Expo, held June 7-10, drew more than 50,000 to the New China International Exhibition Center here, a modest increase over the exhibition’s attendance in 2012. Music Group was among the 1,700 companies exhibiting at the show. Along with an ample assortment of Behringer Eurocom installed products and X32 Digital Mixers, Behringer experts were on hand providing support to dealers and integrators across China that included seminar presentations and listening demos.

MIAMI, FL — For the 2013 NBA Finals, noted for the Miami Heat’s ability to battle back from the brink of defeat in Game 6 and snatch the championship away from the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7, Professional Wireless Systems (PWS) was courtside at both Miami’s American Airlines Arena and the AT&T Center in San Antonio, coordinating RF for the more than 250 frequencies required. CARLSBAD, CA – Clifford Friedman, technology solutions architect at Telnet Solutions, led a team that installed 14 Shure ULX-D systems with SM58 handhelds and WL185 lavalier microphones for the main ballroom and five meeting rooms within the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa here recently. Friedman also integrated the ULX-D system with the ballroom’s Q-SYS networking system so the Hilton’s meeting rooms could be controlled and routed from an iPad.
