Arsenio Audio Staff Opt for Yamaha CL Digital Consoles

HOLLYWOOD, CA — The Arsenio Hall Show premiered in September 2013 and features a mix of comedy, music and celebrity guests, adding a new perspective to the late-night scene. Peter Baird is the sound system designer as well as the music mixer for the show. Collaborating with the production mixer, house and monitor engineers, he chose five Yamaha CL Digital Audio Consoles and six Rio3224-D input/output boxes to kick off the season. Two CL5s and one CL3 are used at front of house with two CL5s at the monitor mix position.

Majic Productions Adds Allen & Heath Mixers to Inventory

BROOKFIELD, WI — Majic Productions has expanded its rental inventory with Allen & Heath’s Qu-16 and GLD-80 digital mixers. The company is led by Mike Jurken, president and CEO, who got his start running his own DJ business 14 years ago, when he was only 12 years old. Ashly Processing, Amplification, and Control At Rochester, NY’s Historic Sibley Building

ROCHESTER, NY – The “new” Sibley Building in downtown Rochester, New York rose out of the ashes of the original Sibley Building, which served as the city’s first department store and burned down in 1906. It has remained an architectural fixture ever since and was admitted to National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The lower levels serve as retail space and help to anchor Rochester’s current downtown revitalization. Its public areas recently benefited from a sound system overhaul that centered on processing, amplification, and control provided by commercial audio manufacturer Ashly Audio of nearby Webster, New York.

OSLO – Ingensteds, a multi-purpose venue that opened here last summer after a major renovation that included a new sound reinforcement system from Trondheim and Oslo-based Avon, now hosts events that range from classical music performances to disco parties and weddings. The new sound system pairs VUE Audiotechnik’s a-15 and a-8 two way systems with dual, soffit-mounted as-215 subwoofers.

Austin, TX Church Using Allen & Heath Consoles

AUSTIN, TX — Unity Church of the Hills is now using an Allen & Heath iLive T112 with an IDR 64 at FOH to drive a new Turbosound TCS 1061 line array powered by Ashly NE 2400 amplifiers and a series of Shure ULX-D wireless microphones. Jeff Sarich, the church’s sound engineer, worked with Doug Windle at Ace Audio, Hutto, TX, who designed the system.

Soundcraft Releases Vi Version 4.8 Software for Vi2, Vi4 and Vi6 Consoles

POTTERS BAR, U.K. – Soundcraft’s Vi Version 4.8 software is now available for the company’s Vi2, 4 and 6 consoles. New features include significant improvements in stage monitor applications. Vi1 users also benefit from some of the new features, using the same update file, downloadable free of charge from the Soundcraft website. Some of the new features may require the purchase of additional DSP cards for Vi2, 4 and 6 consoles.

Delicate Productions Uses Martin Audio MLA to Support Black Crowes

SAN FRANCISCO — The Black Crowes wrapped their most recent tour of outdoor venues with a December concert reunion finale at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. As with the tour, the concert featured the Tedeschi Trucks band and The London Souls. Delicate Productions of San Francisco provided a Martin Audio MLA loudspeaker system.
