OXNARD, CA — L-Acoustics named Dan Palmer national manager of installation projects and Andrew Nagel as head of application for the U.S. installation market. Palmer is currently in his eighth year as a member of the L-Acoustics US team. Nagel recently completed several high profile installation projects for L-Acoustics worldwide.

BERKELEY, CA — Meyer Sound named John McMahon executive director of operations, a newly created position effective immediately. McMahon will play a key role in aligning the long-term mission, operational goals, and expansion programs across the company, while continuing to fulfill his existing duties as executive director of Digital Products and managing director of Meyer Sound China.

SAN DIEGO, CA — VUE Audiotechnik announced that pro audio veteran Mark Engebretson has joined the company’s engineering team. There, he will be working as an engineering consultant, overseeing development and patent efforts for several advanced audio technologies slated for deployment throughout the VUE Audiotechnik line over the next 24 months.

CHESTER, PA — Community Professional Loudspeakers named Rich Bellando strategic development manager. Bellando joined the company in 2005 as an inside sales associate and was later promoted to senior sales administrator, supporting the company’s dealer and distributor network.

OLD LYME, CT — Sennheiser recently named Andrew Kornstein House of Worship Market Development Manager. Kornstein will be responsible for identifying and driving opportunity for Sennheiser in the U.S.-based H.O.W. market. He will report to Dawn Birr, vice president sales & marketing, Integrated Systems, Sennheiser.

BERKELEY, CA — Meyer Sound named Antonio Zacarias vice president of worldwide sales, a newly-created position. He will be responsible for supervising the company’s growing sales activities and help the company’s international and regional sales managers in servicing Meyer Sound customers around the world.

SEATTLE — Symetrix founder Dane Butcher has taken on the role of chairman after holding the position of CEO since he founded the company in 1976. Paul Roberts, veteran VP of sales & marketing with Symetrix, steps in as the company’s new CEO. The company noted that, because Butcher and Roberts have worked together for so many years, the transition is expected to take place with a “high degree of continuity.”

CHESTER, PA — Community announced that Chris Foreman, chief operating officer, is retiring. Foreman came to Community in 2007 from Electronic Contracting in Lincoln, NE and has held the position of VP/COO since 2008.  Prior to joining Community, Foreman had also held positions at Altec Lansing, Panasonic and JBL.
