Music Group Names Galactic Music as its Distributor in Australia

MELBOURNE, Australia — Music Group named Galactic Music, based here, as its distributor for Behringer, Bugera and Eurocom products in Australia. Galactic has assumed responsibility for sales, distribution and service to a network of dealers across the country. In order to better serve their dealers, Galactic planned to relocate to larger premises in Melbourne by Jan. 14, 2013.

Danley Sound Labs Names Jonathan Parker National Sales Manager

GAINESVILLE, GA — Danley Sound Labs named Jonathan “JP” parker national sales manager. Parker, who will be responsible for Danley’s loudspeakers, subwoofers, and supporting processors and amplifiers, has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience with companies including Bose, Crown, TOA and Martin Audio. Turbosound Names Starin U.S. Distributor, Sean Martin Head of International Sales

CHESTERTON, IN — Music Group announced that Starin Distribution, based here, is now distributing Turbosound products in the U.S. Separately, Sean Martin was named head of international sales for the Turbosound brand, which Music Group acquired earlier this year. Martin is rejoining Turbosound, having worked there in the 1990s. He takes over for outgoing sales director Dominic Harter, who recently rejoined Harman as head of global sales for Soundcraft.

Shure Expands Support for Wireless, Software and Conferencing Products

NILES, IL — To help its end users deal with issues ranging from frequency coordination, software configuration, and interoperability between different brands of equipment, Shure launched a new Systems Support Group. It is led by manager Gino Sigismondi and includes Doug Totel and Tim Vear. Shure also named Luis Guerra product marketing manager for conferencing products to support the company’s rollout of DIS-branded conferencing products.

Sean Martin Named Head of International Sales for Turbosound

PARTRIDGE GREEN, U.K. — Sean Martin was named head of international sales for Turbosound. He will take over for outgoing sales director Dominic Harter, who spent nearly 10 years with the brand, which was acquired earlier this year by Music Group. Martin, with more than 30 years experience, is returning to the brand, having previously worked for Turbosound over a four-year span in the late 1990s. Harter rejoined Harman as head of global sales for Soundcraft.
