CHICAGO, IL – Sensaphonics named Dr. Heather Malyuk as the company’s new audiologist.  Dr. Malyuk has worked at Sensaphonics as a clinical extern for the past year, earning doctoral student of the year honors in audiology from Kent State University. She is also an accomplished fiddle and guitar player who still gigs and teaches professionally, specializing in Old Time Appalachian music.

LOS ANGELES – Guitar Center Christopher Ian Bennett vice president, communications and corporate affairs, a new position. In his previous role, Bennett led Best Buy Canada’s corporate communications department, working under Mike Pratt, who is now Guitar Center’s CEO.

TORONTO — Andreas Hilmer, 40, has joined German audio console specialist Lawo AG as director of marketing & communications. In his new role, he will direct all marketing and communications strategies for the Lawo group of companies. Prior to joining Lawo, Hilmer was head of Riedel Communications’ Marketing & Communications department for nine years.
