ORLANDO – Audio-Technica’s AT-MX381 SmartMixer Eight-Channel Automatic Mixer with optional computer control (via RS232) now features full integration with Crestron Electronics control products through a dedicated AT-MX381 module developed as part of Crestron’s Integrated Parter Program (IPP). This compatibility allows contractors and system integrators to install the AT-MX381 to operate with other hardware in an open-platform Crestron systems environment.

NEW YORK – For the 65th Annual Tony Awards, Firehouse Productions and Audio Intercom Services were among those providing technical support. The gear deployed included Studer Vista Series audio mixing consoles at the front of house position and in the monitor truck and JBL Professional VerTec line arrays for the live PA system at New York's Beacon Theatre.

LONDON and JOPLIN, MO – Orange Amplifiers is working with fellow musicians and others in the music industry to donate gear and memorabilia for "Music Aid for Joplin," an auction fundraiser accepting bids from July 18-Aug. 24 on FameBureau.com. Proceeds will benefit victims of the tornado that destroyed much of Joplin, MO on May 22, killing 153 and injuring close to 900.

NEW YORK – Calvary Baptist Church, founded in New York City in 1847 as an independent Baptist church, has been in its current location on Manhattan's West 57th Street since 1931. Over the years, the church has undergone a series of renovations, and recently upgraded its audio system with the installation of JBL VRX Series Constant Curvature, AE Series Compact and CBT loudspeakers.

NASHVILLE – Looking to trim ticket prices despite soaring fuel costs on its Love Come to Life Tour, Nashville-based Christian rock band Big Daddy Weave slimmed down production by trading conventional loudspeakers and amp racks for Meyer Sound's MINA compact line array loudspeakers. This tour was the first for MINA, the newest addition to Meyer Sound's MILO family of self-powered line array loudspeakers.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT – Telefunken Elektroakustik configured a blinged-up wireless stage mic featuring rapper Snoop Dogg's name in chrome and jewels. The Telefunken Custom Shop adapted the mic with a custom-finished Shure UR-2 transmitter, which now sports the new Telefunken Elektroakustik M80-WH capsule.
