SELLERSVILLE, PA – DSB Audio Systems designed and installed an upgraded audio system for the Sellersville Theater that includes four Meyer Sound JM-1P arrayable loudspeakers. The venue, built in 1894, seats 300.

MIAMI – HED South and Michael Chafee Enterprises provided a low-cost solution to help the performing arts department at Miami Country Day School (MCDS) enhance the sound of the new audio system at the school's amphitheater with a Symetrix Automix Matrix 780 processor.

TARPON SPRINGS, FL – AV integrator CSI used Ashly Audio ne8800 DSP with a WR-5 NE remote base and a Bosch steerable Vari-directional array to update the sound system at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, which was built in 1942.

LOS ANGELES – Sennheiser's MKH 8060 shotgun microphone, used with the MZD 8000 digital output module, captured the audio of arriving guests at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards Show's red carpet area outside the Nokia Theater. An EK 2000 portable receiver, SKM 2000 XP handheld transmitter and e935 dynamic cardioid microphone module was used for celebrity interviews.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – Entertainment Arts upgraded the audio system at First Baptist Church here with an Allen & Heath M-Dante card to enhance their iLive digital mixing console. Audinate's Dante provides 64 channels of bi-directional signal routing between iLive's MixRack I/O center and an external Ethernet device via a single Cat-5 cable.

CINCINNATI – Audio consultant Tim Dentler upgraded the system at the 1,000-capacity chapel for God's Bible School & College (GBSC) with gear from Danley Sound Labs. The upgrade includes three SM-60Fs in a single flown cluster, two TH-Mini subwoofers under the stage, and a 3-in 6-out Ashly Protea 3.24CL processor. Four 2-channel Ashly KLR 3200s power the SM-60Fs and TH-Mini subwoofers. A Yamaha LS9-32 with a 16-channel expander increased the channel count to 48.

NEW YORK – Some 10,000 fans braved the wet weather Sept. 15 to hear Andrea Bocelli on Central Park's Great Lawn. Firehouse Productions supported the event with a dozen L-Acoustics K1 loudspeakers paired with three KARA for downfill. The setup also included ARCS for outfills and SB28 subwoofers, all powered by 22 LA8 amplified controllers in LA-RAK touring racks.

NASHVILLE – Countryman Isomax headset microphones are on tour with Dolly Parton, in support of the artist's latest album, Better Day. Jason Glass, monitor engineer for the tour, noted that two Isomax headsets are used onstage during the concerts, with Glass keeping several backup units on hand.

HURST, TX – TPS Audio Video provided Allen & Heath gear for the First Baptist Church here, which hosts two services each Sunday for a congregation of 2,000. The iLive-144 is outfitted with an iDR10 MixRack with an Aviom card, providing 64 inputs and 32 outputs, boosting DSP power and programmability. TPS also installed an Allen & Heath PL-6 wall-mounted mix controller in the sanctuary for smaller events.

ELVERTA, CA – KNCI's Country in the Park event drew 12,000 to hear Billy Currington, Joe Nichols, Brett Eldredge and other artists. Sacramento Production Services (SACPS) provided coverage with 12 Martin Audio W8LC enclosures.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Sound engineer Ron Kuhnke and music composer Joseph Bertolozzi chose Tannoy Di 8DCs for "Bridge Music," an abstract music composition featured at two pedestrian locations on the Franklin D. Roosevelt Mid-Hudson Bridge. The setup survived a recent dramatic test of its reliability: Hurricane Irene.

GLENDALE, CA – Neptune Productions cited flexibility and labor savings as key benefits with its Aviom Pro64 digital snake. The soundco had used it so far for ceremonies for the Congressional Medal of Honor and the President's Election Night along with a variety of outdoor festivals, corporate events and other occasions.
