CHURCHILL, Manitoba, Canada – Simon Forrester, who has put Lectrosonics gear through demanding conditions while recording sound for BBC's Green Planet in Southeast Asia and New Zealand, has done the same for BBC's Human Planet. The production crew, which spent nine months in the Arctic Circle, used Lectrosonics' SMQV variable power sub-miniature digital hybrid wireless transmitter and an SRa dual-channel slot mount digital hybrid wireless diversity ENG receiver to capture audio on location.

PRG Uses Legacy Meyer Sound Gear On Broadway

NEW YORK, NY – For the 50th anniversary revival of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at the Al Hirschfield Theatre, Jon Weston of Jon Weston Design revived some vintage audio gear as well. PRG provided a Meyer Sound UPA-1C system with non-powered loudspeakers, gear which hasn't been in production since the 1990s.

Boston House of Blues Rocks with New JBL, Crown, dbx and Soundcraft Gear

BOSTON, MA – Sound Image provided a new sound system for the 2,000-plus-capacity House of Blues. It included a 20-box JBL VerTec VT4888DP powered line array, six ASB6128 subwoofers and JBL AC26 loudspeakers for under-balcony fill. The system also includes two Soundcraft Vi6 digital mixing consoles, Crown IT4000 amplification and a dbx DriveRack 4800 loudspeaker management system.
