Sousley Sound Equips Yakima Valley SunDome with Community Pro System

YAKIMA, WA – The city of Yakima hired Sousley Sound & Communications for a new sound system at the at the Yakima Valley SunDome, a 6195-seat multi-purpose arena. The venue needed a zoned system optimized for speech intelligibility and musicality. Sousley Sound provided 24 Community R-Series loudspeakers and six iHP Series dual 15-inch subwoofers.

New Light Church Rebuilds After Fire; Connectivity Group Installs Tannoy Gear

BALTIMORE, MD – The New Light Church, named in 1957, moved into a church in 1999 that was then more than 130 years old. In Sept. 2007, the vacant structure was heavily damaged during from a fire that broke out after roof repairs. Although prized stained glass windows were lost, no one was injured, and during the rebuilding process, church leaders took the opportunity to include a new sound system. Connectivity Group LLC designed and installed the system, which includes Tannoy VQ 100, V8 and V6 loudspeakers.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Hi-Tech Audio added to its rental inventory recently with five DiGiCo SD series consoles – two SD10s, one SD9 and two SD7s – plus16 48/98k SD-Racks. Hi-Tech's Louis Adamo noted that the company already has close to 50 consoles in its inventory – "a pretty good chunk" of which are DiGiCo – and he credited the company for bringing its pricing down to get the desks in front of more engineers.

Willow Creek Church Replaces Six Amps with Two Powersoft K3s

SOUTH BARRINGTON, IL – 7,200-capacity Willow Creek Church upgraded its sound system seven years ago, but not the amplifiers for the main sanctuary's six Danley Sound Labs TH-115 subwoofers. The church's audio crew is now using just two Powersoft K3 units to replace the previous six amps. Along with reliability, the new units feature digital signal processing and network control.

The software is used by rental and production companies in 10 different countries, in niches ranging from corporate event production, concert touring, special event rental to network television production. Customers 99 and 101, which also signed up on the same day, included Production Services Ireland and SR Audio.

Clearwing Productions Provides L-Acoustics Rig for Music Theatre of Wichita’s Summer Shows

KIVA and KILO at the Century II Concert Hall in Wichita

WICHITA, KS – Clearwing Production's Phoenix location provided an L-Acoustics KIVO-KILO loudspeaker system for the Music Theatre of Wichita (MTW), which staged five productions at the 2,195-seat Century II Concert Hall this past summer. Clearwing's Almir Lejlic and Dave Temby used nine KIVA elements flown beneath two KILO cabinets per side. The setup precluded the need for a balcony delay system.

Kingston Road United Church Equipped with Tannoy VQ Loudspeakers

TORONTO – Kingston Road United Church (KRUC) is part of the 3,500-congregation-strong United Church of Canada – the largest Canadian Protestant denomination. Although these churches are not typically known for cutting-edge audio gear, KRUC is now home to a Tannoy VQ60 and VQDF, hung as a center cluster, 27 feet high, close to the center of the room between the pulpit and the lectern, in front of the proscenium opening.
