RAHWAY, NJ — Audio Incorporated recently provided a NEXO GEO S8 system, Yamaha Installation Series speakers and a Yamaha M7CL-48ES digital audio console for the Union County Performing Arts Center (UPAC), a restored 1,300-seat theatre that served as a vaudeville and silent movie palace after it opened in 1928.

HAYWARD, CA — Sound On Stage (SOS) recently became the first company in North America to receive a shipment of L-Acoustics’ ARCS II constant curvature WST line source enclosures, an update to the ARCS system introduced in 1995.

DeQUINCY, LA – Advanced Audio Video Technologies recently installed an audio system featuring Harman’s JBL VP Series loudspeakers for the new multi-purpose gymnasiam at Bible Baptist Church. The gymnasium is used for concerts and community functions as well as sporting events. The project included audio in surrounding classrooms.

NASHVILLE – Blackhawk Audio supported the “Awake and Alive” tour for contemporary Christian rockers Skillet with Meyer Sound MILO gear. The tour, with audiences in the 2,000 to 8,000 range, included 16 MILO and two MILO 120 line array loudspeakers, eight M’elodie line array loudspeakers, four MSL-4 loudspeakers, four UPA-1P loudspeakers, 14 700-HP subwoofers and a Galileo loudspeaker management system.

NEW YORK – North American Theatrix installed custom Bag End subwoofers for the redesigned David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center. The six custom triple 10 speakers are in cabinets measuring 7 inches in depth, bolted to the wall behind a 42-foot-long film screen used for visitor information.

WILMINGTON, DE – The Delaware Children’s Theatre, sustained with ticket sales, a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts and by the efforts of volunteers, recently upgraded its sound system with four Entasys column line array loudspeakers provided by Community Professional Loudspeakers. The system was put to use with the theatre’s recent production of Scrooge.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – Audio Logic provided xA-Series loudspeakers from d&b audiotechnik’s White loudspeaker range for St. Paul’s United Methodist Church to address a double challenge: the semi-circular shape of the 97-year-old church’s sanctuary, and the restrictions preventing acoustical treatments from being used at the church, which was designed by architect Louis Sullivan and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The restrictions also led Audio Logic to create suspension systems concealed above the ceiling for the three clusters of gear that they installed.

ATLANTA – Steve Simmons, technical director for Perimeter Church, chose a Danley Sound Labs system for The Hanger, a 1,000-seat sanctuary popular with middle and high school students. The setup includes one Danley SH-96 flown wide on each side for left-right coverage, with a paired Danley SH-95 turned on its side for near-wall fill.

ELON, NC – Audio & Light, Inc. designed and installed an upgraded audio system for Elon University’s Whitley Auditorium that includes D.A.S. Audio’s Variant Series loudspeakers, with six Variant 25A loudspeakers and a single Variant 18A powered subwoofer in a central cluster configuration over the front of the room’s stage area.

BEE CAVE, TX – ZZ Top engineer Jamie “Jamo” Rephann used DiGiCo’s SD8 for the first annual La Grange Fest, where ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd and country singer Jamey Johnson all performed. The live event was also subsequently broadcast on Sirius XM radio.
