Manitoba Centennial Centre Updated with Tannoy, Sennheiser Gear

WINNIPEG, Canada — The Manitoba Centennial Centre contracted with Glen Jonatchick, president and founder of Integrated Entertainment Technologies (IET) to upgrade the audio system for the 2,305-seat venue’s arts programs. The new system includes three major components: Sennheiser mics; a proprietary processing, amplification and software hub provided by Netherlands-based, Acoustic Control Systems (ACS) and a package of Tannoy V12s, i9s, V8s and Di6DCs.

JBL Gear Used for Ford Fusion Unveiling at CES Show

LAS VEGAS — At the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2012), Creative Technology provided live production services for the unveiling of the 2013 Ford Fusion. The event, which featured a performance by DJ Alex Dreamz, was supported with an audio system including Harman’s JBL VRX Constant Curvature loudspeakers. The setup included a left-right configuration of two VRX932LA speakers pole-mounted on one VRX918S subwoofer on each side of the stage.

Procolor Trailer Loaded with L-Acoustics K1 and V-DOSC Gear Stolen

MEXICO CITY — L-Acoustics recently reported the theft of an entire 53-foot semi truck and trailer owned by Guadalajara-based Procolor in the early morning hours on Dec. 8, after the load-out following a Britney Spears concert in Mexico City. The missing trailer contained 24 L-Acoustics K1 and 18 V-DOSC line source elements, 12 K1-SB low-frequency extension enclosures and 48 SB-218 subwoofers, among other items.

Ray Davies Tours with NEXO 45 N-12 Line Monitors

LOS ANGELES — NEXO’s new stage monitors have been paired up with British singer-songwriter Ray Davies, a founding member of The Kinks.  The 45 N-12 line monitors were used for a series of high-profile gigs in the U.K. and for Davies’ U.S. tour. Chris Wibberley, monitor engineer for Davies for 11 years, had a chance encounter with NEXO’s new N-12 wedges at last year’s PLASA exhibition, which led to a demo, and almost immediately, use of the monitors at the Meltdown (UK) shows at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

The QSC Audio KLA system at Iglesia Mundo de Fe

Mundo de Fe Church in Texas Equipped with QSC KLA Line Array

COPPELL, TX — Spanish-speaking Iglesia Mundo de Fe, which shares a location with LifeChurch here, has been equipped with a QSC Audio KLA Series fixed arcuate active line array system, along with K Series loudspeakers, as part of an upgrade to the AV system used in the church’s sanctuary. The QSC system was purchased from Scott Price at ProAudio.com in Fort Worth. ProAudio.com’s design/build division, Church Audio Video, also installed the system.
