Super Bowl Week in Indianapolis Included Jimmy Fallon, Stage Tec NEXUS

INDIANAPOLIS — Leading up to Super Bowl XLVI, NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon was broadcast from the Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis. Nathaniel Hare, FOH mixer for the regular show, handled audio duties in Indianapolis as well. The shows — which aired Feb. 1, 2, 3 and 5 — included three that were live-to-disc. The fourth show aired live after the big game. Wireless First, a Clair Global company, supplied the gear.

Mid-America Sound Corp., Indiana State Fair Commission and IATSE Local 30 Fined by State OSHA

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (IOSHA), which had conducted an investigation into possible workplace violations associated with the collapse of the main stage at the Indiana State Fair on Aug. 13, 2011, issued a report and levied more than $80,000 in fines against the staging company, the stagehand’s union and the state fair commission.

NAMM’S “Wanna Play?” Stage Featured Community Loudspeakers, Ashly Amps

ANAHEIM, CA – Michael Bell of Bell Event Services provided audio support for the “Wanna Play?” stage at the 2012 Winter NAMM show. The stage featured Community loudspeakers and subwoofers, powered by Ashly’s KLR-4000 amplifiers. The stage takes its name from NAMM’s “Wanna Play?” campaign, which encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to take up a musical instrument and perform. Last year, the “Wanna Play?” stage used a similar Ashly/Community configuration.
