Vaudeville-Style Theater in Seattle Equipped with Sennheiser Gear

SEATTLE — The Triple Door, a 300-seat, vaudeville style theatre originally built in 1926, has been making good use of a sound system that includes a selection of Sennheiser evolution series microphones (e600, e800 and e900 instrument and vocal microphones), a Yamaha PM1D 96 channel digital console and a JBL VerTec series medium-sized line array loudspeaker system.

Andy Grammer Live Show Heard Via NEXO GEO S12 Speakers

NAPERVILLE, IL — For a recent Andy Grammer concert within North Central Illinois College’s 825-seat Wentz Concert Hall here, Frankfort, IL-based Sound Works Productions provided a NEXO GEO S12 system that included 10 GEO S1210s, four RS18 Ray Subs, four PS10s and three 4×4 NXAMPs along with three RS18s for sidefills/drum subs, two 4×4 NXAMPs and a Yamaha M7CL digital console for monitors.

X Factor Crew Using DiGiCo SD5 at FOH, SD10 for Monitors

LOS ANGELES — FOH engineer Jeff Peterson is using one of DiGiCo’s recently-released SD5 consoles for X Factor, now in its second year in the U.S.  Monitor mixer Jason Batuyong is using an SD10, and the crew has also incorporated a pair of SDRacks connected via an Optocore fiber optics network into the sound setup for the show.

One Systems Loudspeakers Installed at Nashville’s LP Field

NASHVILLE — WJHW of Dallas and AVI / SPL of Columbia, MD handled the design and installation of the new sound system at LP Field here. The 69,143-seat stadium, which hosts the NFL Titans, the Music City Bowl and the annual CMA Music Festival, now has 166 One Systems speakers, including 146  106IM/70s, eight 108IM/70s and twelve 112IM/70s.

Pacific Science Center Marks 50 Years, Upgrades with Allen & Heath GLD

SEATTLE — To celebrate 50 years since it was originally established as the U.S. Science Pavilion for the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, the Pacific Science Center’s Eames Theater was refurbished. Along with an expanded capacity to offer 2D and 3D films, the theater has two new digital sound systems and new seating. The PACCAR IMAX Theater’s secondary sound system includes an Allen & Heath GLD-80 digital mixing console and AR24-12 audio rack.
