COLLEGE STATION, TX – For Breakaway Ministries, which sponsors weekly Bible study events on the campus of Texas A&M University here, Houston-based Puresound has been providing audio support. The gatherings, staged in either the Reed basketball arena or the Kyle Field football stadium, are heard via JBL VerTec speakers. Along with sound quality, Puresound needed a system that could be setup and taken down quickly. Each venue only allots an hour for setup and an hour for tear-down.

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Whitley Conference center, located at The Oblate School of Theology, includes an auditorium, lecture halls, and classroom space in addition to a host of other amenities. San Antonio Sound & Light (SASL), worked with the school and Overland Partners, specified and installed Tannoy VX 8 loudspeakers and CVS 6 in-ceiling loudspeakers throughout the 24,000-square-foot facility.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Bose Professional Systems Division, based here, noted that its RoomMatch loudspeakers and PowerMatch amplifiers have been installed at several high-profile venues, including the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center (BAPAC) in Broken Arrow, OK (near Tulsa) and the Pike Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in the Indianapolis area.

ORLANDO — InfoComm 2013 took place at the Orange County Convention Center here, with 937 exhibitors showing off products and services within 470,000 square feet of exhibition space from June 12-14. This year’s event drew a record-setting 35,126 visitors, up 2.5 percent from 2012.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Bader Field in Atlantic City was the site for the first VetRock concert, held June 1 in honor of those who served in the Vietnam War.  ACIR Professional provided new d&b Audiotechnik J rig along with a Yamaha CL5 and PM5D consoles at FOH and monitors. Along with Shure, AKG, Sennheiser, Electro-Voice, Audio-Technica and Countryman mics, the event relied upon Shure and Sennheiser wireless systems. ACIR also provided lighting, backline, staging, rigging, and supervised power, video, and barricade installation.

MINNEAPOLIS – Hennepin Theatre Trust and their managing partner the Historic Theatre Group operate three historic theaters in downtown Minneapolis’ cultural district. With the recent installation of Electro-Voice line-array loudspeaker systems in both the State and the Pantages theaters, the two have added a little modernization to these historic theatres.

MILWAUKEE, WI – Sven Pro Sound recently upgraded the sound system of the rapidly growing Transformation City Church. The newly installed Apogee sound system includes AE5 two-way speakers and a single APL-SB self-powered subwoofer.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The Choice of Tannoy’s VX Series Loudspeakers for Fuku Restaurant’s audio system was driven primarily by the requirements of the concept created by Groove Dining Group President, Paul Ardaji “It’s an upscale Pan-Asian restaurant based on a very serious, food-driven concept,” Ardaji explained. “We also wanted to be taken seriously as a music/entertainment destination where you can listen to world-class DJs spin. Music creates energy and we wanted to ensure we had an amazing sound system for dinner and late night, but often, those are different kinds of systems.”
