    The new Dynacord VariLine VL262 full range cabinet features dual neodymium 6.5-inch woofers and a 1-inch compression driver mounted to a CAD-optimized 90x40 rotateable horn. The VL262 is designed with a compact footprint, an output of 125 dB and 300 W continuous power handling for use in high SPL applications where space is limited. Coupled with Dynacord Power-H remote control DSP amplifiers, FIR presets optimize performance, resulting in linear-phase and equal magnitude response over the operating bandwidth of 990 Hz – 20 kHz.

  • Caltech Beckman Auditorium Gets Big Sound with Bag End

    PASADENA, CA — The sound system of Beckman Auditorium of California Institute of Technology was recently upgraded with a new console, processors, mains, and lines. However, finding subwoofers to fit into the small space available near the stage was a problem. They chose the Bag End compact, 15-inch-high PD18E-AD self-powered INFRA subwoofers, which fit comfortably in the front of the auditorium without interfering with the audience sight lines.

The total transaction value, including assumed debt, is approximately $2.1 billion.

    Audio-Technica U.S., Inc. introduced its SpectraPulse Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless microphone system at InfoComm 07.  Although you won't be using this any time soon, a live event version is being worked on; however, there’s no word on when it will be available.

    SpectraPulse is designed to deliver clear, intelligible audio without the performance and set-up issues associated with conventional wireless systems. In addition, it is designed to provide high security levels and to be used in conferences or boardrooms, corporate events/meetings, courtrooms and other contractor/system integrator applications in the business, government and commercial markets.
