Delicate Productions Provides MLA, Other Martin Audio Gear for BottleRock Festival

NAPA, CA – For the BottleRock Napa Valley festival, held here May 8–12, 2013, Delicate Productions provided their Martin Audio MLA system. The main stage setup included a  L/R hang of 16 MLA and 4 MLD downfill cabinents, 12 W8LM front fill, 24 ground-stacked MLX subs and 16 MLA Compact enclosures. Delicate also provided an MLA Compact system with DSX subs for the second stage, Martin Audio W8LC for the third and comedy stages and a smaller trapezoid WT3 system for the local stage.

Solotech Invests in Third Meyer Sound LEO System

MONTREAL, Canada – Solotech recently purchased its third Meyer Sound Leo linear large-scale sound reinforcement system. The system adds to Solotech’s growing rental inventory of more than 2,000 Meyer Sound loudspeakers. Solotech was the first rental company to invest in a LEO system, purchased to support the  ongoing Michael Jackson: Immortal World Tour, now nearing three years of production.

South Carolina Church Upgrades with Bose RoomMatch Gear

BOILING SPRINGS, SC – The First Baptist Church here recently upgrade its 1,100-seat sanctuary’s sound system with Bose RoomMatch gear.  Systems designer Jim Deal, who utilized Bose Modeler Sound System Software, specified Bose RoomMatch RM5505, RM5510, RM7010, RM9010, RM12040 and RM12060 speakers along with RMS215 subwoofers and six PowerMatch PM8500N amplifiers to power the system. MusiCraft Sound & Video helped with the installation.

The stunts posed a challenge to monitor engineer, Horst Hartmann, who worked with Sennheiser on a solution that includes a SKM 2000 mic with a MD 9235 head along with a custom-made in-ear with an integrated microphone.

MetLife Stadium Crew Uses Shure Axient to Crush RF Challenges for Monster Truck Event

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — As important as it was to provide flawless audio support for a recent televised Monster Jam truck event held at MetLife Stadium here recently, stadium A1 Michael Ward also used the event as the first big test for a Shure Axient wireless system, which is being considered for use when the stadium hosts Super Bowl XLVIII in Feb. 2014. “The wireless performance was flawless,” Ward confirmed.

“USITT Presents” Seminar Set for Meyer Sound HQ on Aug. 16

BERKELEY, CA – “USITT Presents,” a series of one-day seminars that began with a Meyer Sound-sponsored event in Nashville, TN in February, followed by events sponsored by Studio Gear (Milwaukee, in March) and Chauvet (Miami, in June), will be hosted by Meyer Sound again at company headquarters here on Friday, Aug. 16. Instructor Mauricio Ramirez will lead the daylong session covering system design principles. The event will include hands-on use of Meyer Sound’s MAPP Online, SIM 3 audio analyzer and other tools.
