2013 Parnelli Award Nominations Now Open!

LAS VEGAS — The 2013 Parnelli Nomination Form is now open through late September — Sept. 27, at 5 pm PST, to be precise. All FRONT of HOUSE readers now have the opportunity to choose the people, companies and products that will appear on the final 2013 Parnelli ballot. That ballot will be posted online for voting throughout the month of October. The awards ceremony is set for Nov. 23, 2013.

Ronco’s David Perry Puts Harman’s Soundcraft Si Expression 3 to the Test

BUFFALO, NY – Professional audio engineer David Perry recently purchased a Harman Soundcraft Si Expression 3 mixing console for use on a variety of regional events. A member of Buffalo, New York-based systems integration firm Ronco Specialized Systems and freelance broadcast engineer, Perry has already put the Si Expression 3 to the test this summer, using it for a variety of functions, including music festivals, corporate events and “Taste of Buffalo,” the second-largest food festival in the United States.

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — Waves Audio is seeing leading cutting-edge live engineers turn to WavesLive tools, including Peter Keppler, an in-demand front-of-house, broadcast and post-production mixing engineer (David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Rufus Wainwright, David Byrne/St. Vincent, Katy Perry). On David Byrne and St. Vincent’s 2012 tour, Keppler used a WavesLive SoundGrid system with a DiGiCo SD10 console, and he plans on using a similar rig on their 2013 tour. They opted for d&b audiotechnik’s J-Series for the main PA and T-Series elements for fills.
