Clearwing Equips Grand Canyon University Arena with L-Acoustics Gear

PHOENIX, AZ — Grand Canyon University’s Antelopes men’s and women’s basketball teams joined the Western Athletic Conference this summer and upgraded to Division I, and university officials opted to upgrade the sound system in the GCU arena as well. They turned to Clearwing Productions’ Phoenix office, which provided two independent L-Acoustics ARCS WIDE and KARA loudspeaker systems for the 5,000-seat multipurpose venue.

Music Group Reports Temporary Loss of Email Service

SEATTLE, WA — Music Group reported that, due to a failure of one of its key communications systems, all company email services were out of commission as of August 19, 2013. This affects all @music-group.com email addresses across all brands including Behringer, Bugera, Midas, Klark Teknik and Turbosound. In addition, the company noted that users may experience intermittent performance when using company websites.

Stanford University’s Bing Concert Hall Using Shure Wireless

PALO ALTO, CA — For Stanford University’s 112,365-square-foot Bing Concert Hall, which opened earlier this year, Sonitus Consulting chose Shure UHF-R wireless microphone systems. Along with the UHF-R system’s compatibility with the venue’s low noise floor and dynamic performances, Sonitus principal Tim Boot noted that UHF-R’s rental compatibility was a factor in the decision.
